Data Storage:
EdAffect researchers store all project data, associated documents, notes, and drafts on LabArchives servers throughout every phase of our clients' projects.

The designated Client Administrator for each project will self-determine the ways in which the LabArchives license included in their EdAffect contract will be utilized by those affiliated with their own institution. Clients retain full control of their data and where it is located, acting in accordance with IRB requirements as well as team preferences for workflow management. EdAffect LabArchives accounts can only access what is assigned to them individually by the Client Administrators of each project, and Client Administrators can manage all aspects of their LabArchives project(s) while their EdAffect contract is active, without unintentionally sharing any data with EdAffect.

LabArchives can be integrated with other cloud-based systems if these are preferred or required (e.g. Box, Google Drive, OneDrive), facilitating secure file sharing between accounts. However, EdAffect researchers are not permitted to directly access and/or edit any project data related to EdAffect contracts via their personal or institutionally affiliated accounts utilizing systems outside of the EdAffect LabArchives. (Graduate students, faculty, and other client-appointed collaborators are not considered EdAffect researchers, and can use whatever systems are deemed appropriate by the institutions with which they are affiliated, as designated by the Client Administrator for the project.)

Client Administrators can obtain a LabArchives license via their own institution for collaboration with EdAffect, or purchase the license provided by EdAffect at-cost prior to the completion of their contract to retain access to the account and/or consolidate workflow with overlapping contracts. LabArchive accounts that are not purchased by Client Administrators will be terminated at the completion of each contract and cleared of all data.
