Enhance Data Security and Ensure Compliance with Regulations
All EdAffect contracts include a LabArchives Administrator license and unlimited guest (view/edit) accounts* for your institution for the duration of the project. The designated Administrator for the institution retains full control of all users' access to data on an individual basis, including the EdAffect researcher(s) assigned to the project.
LabArchives is a cloud-based ELN trusted by the world’s leading scientific research organizations for project management and collaboration, in compliance with HIPPA, FERPA, and a wide variety of other regulatory certifications and standards for data security, often required for recipients of large grants and institutional funding opportunities.

Expect Human Work in Human Subjects Research
EdAffect Researchers painstakingly edit interview and focus-group transcriptions, listening alongside the original audio to ensure accuracy prior to analysis, and perform all qualitative coding by hand, line-by-line, in accordance with the highest academic standards.

While A.I. resources have become increasingly helpful in consolidating ideas in the initial phases of research, assistive technologies for transcription and analysis are not without data security risks. Additionally, as researchers, we have witnessed firsthand mishaps ranging from embarrassing oversights to catastrophic misinterpretations resulting from attempts to save time with A.I., ultimately costing more time and effort as the work must be redone. While technology continues to advance research efforts, EdAffect remains committed to dedicating the necessary time for the inherently human aspects of qualitative analysis to be completed by humans.
